It is understood that the experimental contents include sending bovine cells to ISS and using a 3D bioprinter to cultivate cells into small muscle tissue. Aleph Farms says this is the first time that people have tried this experiment under microgravity.
In September, a box containing bovine cells was launched to the International Space Station. On September 26, scientists, with the help of astronauts, carried out artificial meat cultivation experiments on the Russian part of the International Space Station.
Let stem cells grow in a special 3-D printing vessel. As a result, small-scale muscle tissue has been successfully generated. The success of the space artificial meat experiment has been announced.
Scientists say the aim of the experiment is to show how humans can produce artificial meat with minimal resources under harsh conditions.
"It was really a breakthrough both for Roscosmos and Russia as a whole," said Nikolai Burdeiny, executive director of the state space corporation, which includes Roscosmos.

It is understood that the company mainly separates beef cells from cattle through scientific and technological means, cultivates them in the laboratory, arranges and replicates the cell tissues with 3D cloning technology, and makes them form muscle structure similar to traditional meat.
It is reported that Aleph Farms has been at the forefront of technological progress in this field. It not only produces alternatives to minced meat products, but also produces lab-grown steak that mimics the taste, shape, texture and structure of different animal muscle tissues.
The company also pointed out that the concept validation experiment was designed to demonstrate the efficiency of its advanced cell culture process.
According to Bloomberg, Aleph Farms said the experimental results showed that artificial meat technology could be applied to the space environment and could provide meat for astronauts.
But the experiment is just proof of the concept of artificial meat. It will take at least three years for the company's artificial beef steak or hamburger to actually reach the consumer's table.

Although plant-based meat substitutes such as "Beyond Meat" and "Impossible Burgers" are currently attracting mainstream markets, real laboratory-grown meat is still on the verge of commercial supply.
Particularly noteworthy is that this meat-making method uses far less natural resources than traditional animal husbandry, which means that it is a theoretically viable food-making strategy for long-distance space travel.
Didier Toubia, co-founder and CEO of Aleph Farms, said: "In space, we don't have 10,000 or 15,000 liters of water to produce a kilogram of beef.
This joint experiment marks an important first step towards realizing our vision of protecting natural resources while ensuring food security for future generations.
